Governance
The Penn State Board of Trustees is the fiduciary for any University investment assets. It has established a government structure that includes the establishment and definition of the Penn State Investment Council (PSIC). The Board of Trustees has authorized the PSIC to oversee the Long-Term Investment Pool assets. Good governance enhances long-term value for LTIP and its participants. Clearly defined roles and responsibilities are essential to good governance.
Board of Trustees
Through the Board of Trustees Resolution Regarding Investment and Spending Policies, the Board of Trustees creates and defines the composition and authority of the Penn State Investment Council (PSIC). The Board of Trustees provides objectives for both investing the assets and creating distributions through a spending policy. The University's funds will be invested to achieve maximum return with an acceptable degree of risk.
